Job Position: Receptionist

Bell Boy
3. Basic Function
The Receptionist performs a qualified service in accordance to the standards of the hotel, throughout the area of the Reception. Maximal achievable success must be kept in consideration through an optimal working fluency. At the core of all actions there lies a friendly care and a polite attitude towards a high customer satisfaction.
4. Qualifications
• Education: Good educational degree, high cultural level
• Languages: High Proficiency in English (reading/writing/speaking) Second Language is an advantage
• Microsoft Office Proficiency
5. Duties & Responsibilities
In all actions the Receptionist must respect and adhere to the goals, values, principles and conditions determined by the philosophy of MK Hotel Tirana
6. Key Tasks
• Professionally welcoming and aiding all hotel guests
• Ensures a central coordinating function at the reception
• Check-in, Check-out
• Registration Formalities
• Maintain customer accounts
• Accounting of cash balance
• Conciergerie
• Telephone switchboard
• General administrative tasks
• Maintaining cleanliness throughout the reception environment
• Use of software of the hotel
• Support the Front Office Coordinator to guarantee optimal services
• Statistics
• The mail protocol
• Control newspapers of the hotel
• Acceptance, control and protocol of other sectors accountability (Pool, Gym,Tennis,Etc)
• Customer care:
1 – Active customer service
2 – Client-oriented reactions in understanding of the needs that the client may have.
3 – Willing communication and a continuous presence
4 – Recognition to take action according to the procedures of the hotel for advertising to clients.
5 – To be the contact person for any type of information
7. Abilities
• Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow up all job related duties; follow directions thoroughly and maintain good judgment and attitude while resolving problems; maintain punctual attendance and work with minimal supervision
8. Other demands
• Attendance to all scheduled training sessions and meeting is required
• Upon employment, all employees must fully comply with MKHT rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the hotel and its facilities
• Employees who violate rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including the termination of employment
• The employee must be well informed of :
o Hotel Fire, Bomb and Emergency procedures
o Hotel health and safety policies or procedures
o Hotel facilities and nearby sights of interest and importance (i.e hospitals, stations, tourist sights )
o Current licensing relating to own department
o Short and long term marketing and promotional programs of corporate and the hotel
o Corporate clients and clients generating high business volume
• All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per MKHT standards
